There is an annual, non-refundable enrollment fee of $35 per student or $50 per family. This fee covers administration and processing costs for your account.
All of our dancers have the opportunity to perform on stage each year in our spring recital. There is a $75 recital tech fee due February 1st for all enrollees. Spring recital tech fees help to cover the costs associated with the rental of the theatre and production of the show. Tickets for recital will be additional, and announced when they become available.
I understand that by enrolling my child/ren in dance class, I am committing to pay for costumes for their performance in the spring recital. To that end, there will be a costume fee for each performance level class posted in February. Costume Fees will be due March 1st. The fee will be $75 for all performance level classes, except BMP which is $85-130. For the vast majority of classes, this fee will be sufficient but in a few cases, such as BMP costumes, there may be a remaining costume balance which would be due in April. Dancers will not receive their costumes until all balances are paid in full.
**Ballet masters costumes may run on a different fee structure. Dancers on pointe will have an additional $85 costume fee.
***A $10 late fee for each posted costume will be assessed if paid later than March 11th.***
Dancers will not receive their recital costumes until balances are paid in full.
- BMP Costume – $85
- Pointe Costume – $85
*All BMP dancers are required to take a minimum of 2 classes.
*If a dancer is new to pointe, they take the class(es) for their age/ ability.
Teachers may move students after the first week or two.
- 5th hour – 7th hour are $30 per hour
(standard rates apply to first 4 classes) - Dancers with 8+ hours of class per week pay a flat discounted rate.
- Families with 2 or more dancers in the same family enrolled in 5+ classes each per week will also receive a flat discounted rate.
*All masterclass, costume and tech fees are due as scheduled.
There are no refunds or credits for classes missed or for classes which fall on a holiday. As appropriate and necessary, we do schedule make-up classes when classes are cancelled due to inclement weather, etc (up to 2). We do apologize but we are unable to allow a student to attend a different class as a make-up, since classes are both age and choreography specific. However, in some instances, we may be able to schedule a private make up session if desired. We ask that you please notify the Studio West Dance Center office if your child will not be attending a scheduled class.
All Pre-Pro classes are subject to a 4 class maximum of misses per semester, per class.
Please call 970-225-1611 or email frontdesk@swdcfc.com to report absences.
Unless specifically stated as a dance Session, the dance program in which you are enrolling your child is an on-going 10 month program (approx mid-August through mid-June) and is not a “session”.
PURCHASER’S RIGHT TO CANCEL:
YOU, THE PURCHASER, MAY CANCEL THIS CONTRACT AT ANY TIME DURING THE TERM OF ITS EFFECTIVENESS. YOU MUST GIVE WRITTEN NOTICE TO THE DANCE STUDIO THAT YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE FURTHER BOUND BY THIS CONTRACT. THE NOTICE OF CANCELLATION MAY BE SERVED IN PERSON, BY TELEGRAM, OR BY MAIL TO THE DANCE STUDIO AT THE ADDRESS STATED IN THIS CONTRACT OR AT THE LOCATION WHERE DANCE LESSONS ARE CONDUCTED. WITHIN THIRTY DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF YOUR NOTICE OF CANCELLATION, THE DANCE STUDIO SHALL REFUND TO YOU THE CONTRACT PRICE LESS THE COST OF GOODS AND SERVICES ALREADY RECEIVED BY YOU AND AN AMOUNT OF LIQUIDATED DAMAGES EQUAL TO NOT MORE THAN TEN PERCENT OF THE COST OF THE REMAINING GOODS AND SERVICES.
If you choose to cancel the agreement and withdraw from classes, you must do so in writing on a withdraw form at the front desk. We will not accept withdrawal notifications via email or phone call. You will be charged a penalty on the amount of 10% of the balance of the tuition due for the term of the agreement. In calculating the 10% penalty allowed by law, tuition is calculated at a $30 per class hour rate and not the discounted rate.
***All fees are non refundable.
SWDC generally follows the Poudre School District school calendar. Dance Program classes are held from mid-August through mid-June. Classes are generally not held on school breaks/holidays, but ARE usually held on teacher work days, etc. Please see our Calendar for scheduled holidays. Any cancellations due to weather will be published on our web site, facebook page, sent out via email, and/or recorded on the studio’s outgoing voicemail message so please check these sources whenever you have a question about the status of SWDC classes. And, as always, use your best judgment as to whether or not it is safe for YOU to travel.
Classes will participate in a formal Spring Concert. There are a few technique classes that do not perform.
Other performance opportunities will be available to Ensemble/Competition teams.
All families will be charged a $75 Tech Fee due February 1st. This covers lights, sound and other tech fees associated with the concert, and is non-refundable.
