I started dancing when I was five years old, after begging my mom to enroll me in class for close to two years. I began my dance career at Lana’s Dance Studio in Morgan Hill CA, and danced there until I graduated from high school in 2007. After my first dance class I knew it was something I’d be doing for the rest of my life. When I was eight years old I auditioned for the competition team at Lana’s Dance Studio and made it. I competed for 10 years. I started out competing in just one dance and was in up to 12 by the time I was 18. I trained under people such as Mark Meismer, Cindy Ricalde, Leila Wright, Pauline Locsin-Kanter, and Suzy Miller and have been trained in tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, and hip-hop. I have danced in companies in San Francisco and Los] Angeles, performing in places such as Union Square in SF, The Beverly Wilshire Hotel in LA, and Hearst Castle on the Central Coast of CA. I danced semi-professionally during my early college years in San Luis Obispo, CA doing opening and closing pieces for fashion and body art shows. I now take class for fun when I get the chance, and have been teaching for the past four years.

On a personal note, I moved to Fort Collins from San Luis Obispo, CA to continue my undergraduate education at Colorado State University. I majored in Human Development and Family Studies for my Bachelors and worked briefly as a Child Life Specialist at National Jewish Health in Denver, CO as well as The Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. I am now pursing my Master degree in counseling and am hoping to go into trauma counseling after completing my graduate program.
